A major services business based in Hatfield is looking for a HR Consultant to join their team on a 9 month contract basis. This is an exciting position in a large advisory team which is part of a group HR function.
You will report into the head of HR operations and be responsible for a regional group within the business, sitting as part of the advisory team to the whole company. Your role will be varied and challenging and will cover areas of HR such as:

Advising area managers on new HR practices and the new model

Managing and advising on performance management, attendance, disciplinaries & grievances

HR policies – advising on existing policies and developing and implementing new, relevant HR policies across the business

Collating HR data and analysing figures and statistics to inform the business of trends and potential problem areas in their teams

Supporting the line managers on people development initiatives
-
Managing change within your business area, and supporting the business on restructures that may result in consultation, communication, redundancy / relocation / retention / (re)-integration
To be considered for this position you must be CIPD qualified and have past proven experience as an HR Generalist in a large complex commercial business, ideally blue chip. You will have experience of implementing policies and procedures, managing ER cases, involvement in redundancy processes, delivering HR training, be detailed orientated and able to manipulate and analyse HR data. You will be able to influence managers and be able to adapt quickly to change.
There is lots of scope for development in this role, if you are proactive and enjoy a challenge. You will ideally be available on little or no notice.
